So, how'd the two first-timers celebrate?

Maybe with a little karaoke.

I just got word that Pattinson and Jackman engaged in some karaoke crooning together this week at a bar in Tokyo.

The two have been in Japan on business. Pattison touched down on Tuesday to promote Twilight while Jackman and Nicole Kidman attended last night's premiere of Australia.

Los Angeles, Feb 7 (PTI) 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson who is one of the hottest properties in Hollywood right now, might soon be seen on the cover of the 'Gentleman's Quarterly'.
Reports has it that Pattinson will be featured on the cover of GQ magazine's April issue. Sources inside the publishing house told 'Celebuzz' that the British actor will be splashed across the cover of the magazine this April.

But the actor's camp has refused to confirm the report. Meanwhile amidst the swirling rumor, Pattinson and his 'Twilight' on-screen lover Kristen Stewart have been featured on the cover of Australia's 'Girlfriend' magazine for its March issue.

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson wasn't popular at school and struggled to approach girls he fancied.

He recently told Joy magazine: "I was obsessed with a girl for years but I never talked to her because I was extremely shy.

"I think this is the best kind of love (laughs), nothing can go wrong.

"Years later, I told her about it and she was totally shocked because she hadn't noticed anything.

"But she is the reason I ultimately got into acting."

A lot has changed for Robert in the last few years. He is now a sex symbol and can pick any girl he wants.

Rob says: "(It's) bizarre. Last year, I was talking about how I wanted girlfriend and I didn't even have a date!

1. First of all, the demands of compressing a 500-page book into a two-hour movie mean that most of the boring scenes of Edward brooding about stuff have been cut. In fact, for the entire middle third of the movie, Edward seems happy most of the time, which Robert Pattinson frankly plays a lot better than he does the dark, serious looks.
2. The movie adds an amazing sequence in which Edward takes Bella to the top of an enormous tree for a view of the mountains and river below. It actually totally rules.
3. In the movie, vampires make an unnecessary but awesome whooshing sound when they jump around.
4. Bella’s new friends in Forks have been given the Catherine Hardwicke treatment: They’re cooler, funnier, more multicultural, and way more interesting than they are in the book, where they’re mostly there to serve as distractions that Bella ignores on her way to Edward. For instance, Eric — described in the book as “a gangly boy with skin problems” who’s “the overly-helpful chess-club type” — turns into a hip, attractive Gaysian. And when everyone goes to the beach, they don’t just take boring walks to the tide pools; they go surfing!
5. Who knew Charlie’s mustache was so awesome?
6. At the movie, you get to hear teenage girls shrieking, “I love you, Edward!!!” before the opening credits even begin.

The soundtrack to the vampire movie Twilight, which stars Robert Pattinson, was one of a host of albums hit by poor sales in this week's US album chart.

In an unusually slow start to the year, Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' held onto number one despite selling just 72,000 copies.

Nickelback climbed from number five to two with 'Dark Horse' despite selling less albums than the previous week, while Kanye West's '808s and Heartbreak' was a non-mover at three.

The top-five was completed by Beyonce at four and the Twilight soundtrack. Both albums posted a more than 30% drop in sales on the previous week

Robert Pattinson isn't afraid to fancy women who are older than him.

Last year Robert had a bit of a crush on Hollow Man actress Elizabeth Shue.

When he was asked about this during an interview for Samedi Magazine he replied: "Yes, I remember. There was Elizabeth Shue, Patricia Arquette, who must be 50 today, and Dana Delany from Desperate Housewives.

"So what? Age doesn't matter to me and like I said I don't really have a type."

Robert also revealed that Twilight producers hadn't been too keen on him being Edward Cullen.

He says: "It's true. When they mentioned my name in high places, someone shrugged his shoulders and said: "Robert who?" They weren't ready to bet on a stranger.

Robert Pattinson: 'I Couldn't Live Without Music'

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has become an overnight celebrity since starring as the alluring Edward Cullen in the hit vampire romance.

Adding to Rob's own mystique is the fact that the actor has not been seen publicly since Dec. 22, when he jetted to London for the Christmas holidays. But his absence has only made his legions of young fans even fonder of him.

Fortunately for them, international media interviews have recently been released providing some interesting insights into the British heartthrob's introspective personality. In a new interview with Quebec's Le Samedi magazine, Pattinson, 22, discusses what drew him to the Edward Cullen character, what he finds appealing in the opposite sex and his enduring love of music.

Pattinson, who sounds like a bit of a contrarian, says he was drawn to Edward because of the brooding vampire's fringe status. "Outsiders are always seductive, or at least fascinating," he says. "You can see why they're alone and can't integrate themselves into groups."

Ironically, Twi—which began as a teen cult phenomenon—has mushroomed into full-blown mainstream popularity. So far, the tiny indie flick has grossed an astonishing $284 million worldwide since its Nov. 21 U.S. release.

A sequel, New Moon (2009), will begin shooting in March, and will be filmed back-to-back with Eclipse (2010), the third installment in the best-selling Twilight book series.

As we previously reported, the self-deprecating Pattinson initially was intimidated by the idea of playing Edward, who is described as unspeakably beautiful—an Adonis. "I really liked Edward's personality but I asked myself if I was indeed the right actor for the role," Rob recounts. "He is described as being a rare beauty, and that's not what I see in my mirror every morning."

Despite his global popularity, Pattinson says he is unattached at the moment. "Je suis toujours célibataire," he says. [I'm still single]. But what does he find attractive? "Like everyone else, I'm attracted to girls who have a head on their shoulders. The other day I was watching 30 Rock and I was charmed by the quirky Tina Fey," says Rob. "Rarely have I seen a woman so sexy."

But Rob has other celebrity crushes as well. "I'm not immune to the sex appeal of the three Jessicas (Simpson, Alba and Biel). And I'm really fascinated by the grace and beauty of Natalie Portman.

Pattinson says he's attracted to all types of women. "Age matters little to me, and as I said before, I don't have a specific type," he says.

But Pattinson's true love is music. When asked what career path he would've chosen had he not become an actor, Rob is unequivocal in his reply. "I would've become a pianist," he says. "I play three instruments, I sing and I write songs."

Indeed, Pattinson, who wrote two songs on the Twi soundtrack, is intoxicated by music. "I always say that if acting is my first love, music would've been my Plan B for becoming famous," he says. "That may sound a bit pretentious, but it's true. Music occupies a very important place in my life. I couldn't live without music

The great “Twilight” debate over Robert Pattinson’s hair continues to rage on, and according to Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire series, Robert has not escaped this hairy situation.

“I heard he got in trouble for cutting his hair,” Ashley told E!‘s Marc Malkin Sunday at the InStyle/WB Golden Globes after party. “But what can I say? I like guys with longer hair.”

Ashley, who referred to Robert as “totally adorable,” said though she prefers Robert’s “Twilight” hair, she’s will cut him some slack.

“I think he’s getting enough flack, I’m sure,” she continued. “I mean his every move is recorded and photographed and documented, so I’m not going to give him a hard time.”
